Floss estimation is for stitching the sampler and ornaments as shown as directed on 40-count linen. DMC equivalents are only approximate, as there are no exact equivalents for hand over-dyed floss.
Package contains charting for the sampler, stitching instructions, complete finishing instructions for making each square into an ornament/scissor fob/hook hanger (backed by your choice of linen or matching fabric - two different finishing techniques).
I encourage you to use floss and fabric colors that match your personality and style.

Be creative! There are many ways to "dress up" your ornaments (ribbon, buttons, trims) - look though an old sewing box or basket to find inspiring ideas and backing materials.
Each square would also work well for a floss ring tag, magnet, pinkeep, or needlebook...giving you lots and lots of options!
